It takes the best of analog and digital and puts them into one clever package with the ability to choose one of several reticles: MOA Hash, MIL Hash, MIL Dot, Crosshair, and Live BDC.

    The scope has several settings to help target shooters and hunters alike dial in on the bullseye with ease. The digital display shows multiple data points like distance, incline, elevation and windage, point of impact, and more. Helping it stand out against the pack are several onboard sensors including a barometer, thermometer, and hygrometer.

    It runs off a single AAA battery that can be found in any convenience store, and swapping them out is fast and easy. The battery itself powers the scope continuously for up to three days. And, once the low battery indicator turns on, it sends the scope into emergency power mode so it can still be used, but at a limited functionality. To help extend battery life, an automatic shutoff can be programmed into the scope via the app.

    Speaking of the smartphone app, it makes scope setup easier, but it is not needed for use while shooting. There is a small onboard computer contained within the scope to conduct the firing solutions based on one of four stored ballistic profiles. The app simplifies inputting these profiles based on each cartridge or pellet.

    It makes quick work of the calculations needed to put the projectile on target based on the information it’s fed and its distance. The HYPR-7 is capable of estimating distances out to about 100 yards. Past that point, it’s recommended to use a compatible rangefinder, that connects via Bluetooth.

    The Element Optics Nexus Gen 2 4-25×50 FFP rifle scope with APR-1C MOA reticle is the next evolution of the original scope designed by Element Optics with improvements developed through the experience of professional shooters and hunters. It delivers exceptional performance in a variety of conditions, as well as advanced fully multicoated lenses with an anti-fouling layer.

    The redesigned turrets in this scope utilize an improved tool-free mechanical zero-stop in addition to being resettable and tool-free, and they have a 40 MOA windage range and a 100 MOA elevation range, with both using 20 MOA per revolution and 1/4 MOA adjustment increments. The windage turret has a removable cap and a thread protector, and the elevation turret has a revolution indicator flag.

    The Element Optics Nexus Gen 2 has side focus with parallax-free views starting at 10 yards and going to infinity, as well as 3″-3.6″ of eye relief, in addition to a removable magnification throw lever. The lenses provide a sharp and vivid sight picture in spite of inclement weather or poor lighting because they are fog proof, waterproof, shockproof, and nitrogen purged.

    This version of the scope comes with the APR-1C MOA all-purpose reticle, which was developed by Matt Dubber.     The turrets have been completely redesigned for performance and ease of use, with scalloped indentations on the rim for a better grip, and a larger size to make it easier to make adjustments quickly without turning past the intended setting.

    The windage turret includes a removable cap and a thread protector for when the cap is removed to expose a low-profile turret, and has an adjustment range of 29 MRAD, using 1/10 MRAD increments, and 12 MRAD per revolution. The elevation turret has an adjustment range of 11.6 MRAD in 1/10 MRAD increments, with 12 MRAD revolutions, and it also has a revolution indicator flag for keeping track of the revolutions.

    The Element Theos 6-36×56 uses ED glass for better light clarity compared to other optics, and it also includes a removable 40mm aperture ring that can be utilized to increase the depth of field for high-contrast lighting situations that reward the ability to see objects at multiple distances without changing focus. This adds flexibility to the scope and allows it to excel at both low-light hunting and high-brightness situations such as PRS competitions.

    The APR-2D MRAD is a first focal plane (FFP) illuminated reticle with improvements compared to previous versions. It uses a very thin central dot for increased accuracy at full magnification, in addition to mil-scale markings that are shifted inward for increased visibility at high zoom settings. The holdover numbers are larger to reduce eye strain at low magnification, and the illumination feature is now digital. Simply push and hold the button on the outside of the parallax knob to turn it on and off, then tap it to change to one of ten illumination levels.
